Sado standard sightseeing plan
If you are visiting Sado for the first time, this is the ideal plan for you. You can enjoy the spectacular views of the sea and mountains, while visiting "Kanayama" (old gold mine) and observing "Toki" (Japanese crested ibis).
Departure from Tabino Hotel Sado
By car, go to "Osado Skyline" aroute for a drive to enjoy Sado with a panoramic view.
Hakuundai (Osado Skyline)
Is a lodge-style building standing at about 850m above sea level. The viewing terrace offers a stunning panoramic view across Sado.
Historic Site Sado Kinzan Gold Mine
From Hakuundai about 20 minutes. Sado Kinzan Gold Mine is a collection of historic relics wich tell the 400 years history of Sado's gold and silver mines.
Kitazawa Flotation Plant
From Sado Kinzan Gold Mine about 10 minutes by car. The Kitazawa area in Aikawa is home to a group of facilities, such as a power plant and a thickener (designated National Historical Site).
Kyomachi Street
Is a main stree that connects Aikawa's gold and silver mines with the Sado Commissioner's Office.
Senkakuwan Ageshima Yuen
From Aikawa about 15 minutes by car. Senkakuwan Ageshima Yuen is a Tourist attraction of Ageshima Kyowan. Designated as one of Japan's 100 Scenic Foreshores.
Toki Forest Park
Toki Materials Exhibition Hall showcases a collection of resources on the themes of preservation, breeding, and reintroduction into the wild. Toki Exchange Plaza is a popular spot where you can see toki up close.
Return to the Tabino Hotel Sado
Return to the hotel in the afternoon. Enjoy the onsen to rest.
